STORIES FROM THE SANCTUARY!

This past month I led a workshop for our local non-profit, Leadership La Plata, on Authentic Leadership and Appreciative Inquiry.  It was a dynamic day sharing and reminding myself of my True path.  What is the greatest gift I can give myself on that path?  I've discovered that it's staying in the perspective of a Learner.  I'm very human, so I can easily be led away from this perspective by smaller ones that have a lot to do with my own ego satisfaction, my assignment is to continue to notice and stay aware of it, so that I can return to what my highest self, Queenie Heart, already knows is Home.
 
Recently I came across this list of Principles of Learning by Michael Hansen.  He and I share an experience, in a world where even 6 degrees of separation is often more than necessary, of both having studied with Gail Larsen, a wonderful teacher of Spirited Speaking from Santa Fe.  This list so perfectly touches upon the lessons I've learned (and am still learning... over and over) and each one is a powerful tool that assists me and guides me on my Journey.  See what you think - how do they each show up in your experience?  GROUNDHOG DAY MUSINGS 

What inspires you?  I've been thinking about the connection between Inspiration and In Spirit - how they are the same thing.  When I'm inspired I am in the presence of Spirit.  I am on the wavelength, dailing in the channel to the Infinite, where all possibility exists.  I get inspiration frequently which tells me that my channel is open alot.  This past weekend I gathered with a wonderful group to create Vision Boards for 2009.  Inspiration filled the room as we connected to the images that appeared during a long tearing session with magazines that scattered the floor.  And while the boards each one made are powerful representations of where we are headed and the values that we hold dear, I was curious and intrigued by the process.  Being in the moment and swimming in the depths of what we desire and long for.  It was a juicy afternoon, lit up by the bright, winter sunshine and electric blue sky. 

What about you?  Are you on track for your year and what you are longing for?  This time in the northern hemisphere - February 2nd - is called Groundhog Day.  Such a funny day to mark!  And yet, on the medicine wheel and other pagan calendars, we know that at this time there is a stirring of seed towards blossom.  While winter still wraps itself around our landscape, deep below the surface dreams are stirring and beginning to awaken.  They need our attention and love as water and sun to grow into the inspired possiblity that lies at their core.
