STORIES FROM THE
SANCTUARY!
Recently a friend signed up for a local tennis
tournament. He likes competing but hadn't done something
like this in a year or so. Spurred on by his tennis
coach, he bypassed some limiting beliefs about where his game
was at and registered for the one day event. His match
was scheduled for 8:00am on a Saturday morning. When he
arrived at the courts, they were soaked from rain the night
before, so he chipped in to lend a hand in getting the courts
dry so play could begin. After an hour or so, his
competitor arrived and they began their match.
Unfortunately he lost the match, reporting back to me, "I
really didn't play my game. I played his
game."
This is a powerful metaphor that can teach
us a lot about living life successfully.

 The
Quest for Your Authentic Leader Retreat was
