Finding Clarity for Moving Up the
Mountain
When we take true stock of our lives, sometimes the
changes we'd like to make can feel so far beyond where we are
now, that even a first step is
overwhelming.
Generally here's what my
clients tell me overwhelming feels like:
Crushed, burdened, in
despair, confused, dizzying, drowning, exhausted,
beaten
When we're in this
perspective, we can easily forget what we life could become if
we bring the necessary focus to reach the top of that
mountain.
Here are four questions to ask yourself to
gain more clarity about the outcome of committing to
change:
What will happen if I
do?
What won't happen if I
do?
What will happen if I
don't?
What
won't happen if I don't?
These questions sound similar
and can be confusing but if you take them one at a time,
answering each on a new piece of paper, listing all the
possible answers you can think of, they will give you a clear
picture of what the results will be of taking or not taking
action.
