Just returned from the Journey with Your Wild Soul Retreat -- the women who came (you know who you are!) are my posse: undauntable women, committed to discovering the longings of their deep self no matter what -- and believe me - it was a very wet weekend out in McElmo Canyon but they couldn't have shown up more brilliantly for all the wild experiences I planned, whether indoors, outdoors or even underground!!  They gave me new inspiration for following my own path home.  As beautifully written by Clarissa Estes - they personified La Loba - the ancient wise woman whose singing over the bones of the wolf calls to life it's vibrancy and joy.  I returned as the full chalice, with a huge smile on my face!

 

Before I left last week, I had been very much playing in the world of synchronicity and watching my clients do so as well.  I believe that when our vision is a clear one, and we let go of the "How", magic happens.  Things turn up beyond even what we can imagine - that's how powerful we can be.  The tricky part is that letting go, as it's so easy to get attached to what the vision will look like and I've found it rarely arrives in exactly the packaging that you imagine.

 

My dear friend and client Val had an experience on retreat with me this summer that is a perfect example of this 'different packaging' and what my teacher Trebbe Johnson calls the "maginal zone" - a place we visit when attending simultaneously to what's happening around us and what's happening within us.  Click here to learn more about this magical place and read Val's story
